Paul Martens

Paul Martens is a Rotterdam based photographer who is famous for his Rotterdam photography. Paul started a photo studio at Aelbrechtskolk in Delfshaven in the late 70’s. Customers could have their film developed and get passport photos taken at the shop. Later on he started creating amazing images of a city still percieved as ‘ugly’ after being bombed in World War II. He sold thousands of Rotterdam products; books, calendars, wall decoration and postcards. The last decades he started focussing more and more on the great Port of Rotterdam and founded Portstock.io and Martens Multimedia together with his son.
